In recognizing that life’s unpredictability can lead one to feel overwhelmed and sometimes even hopeless, a collaborative therapeutic relationship can facilitate in one’s wellness journey.

Throughout my career and educational opportunities, I have had the privilege of supporting a diverse range of individuals in different life stages with varying needs. As an Associate Therapist, I tailor the therapy process to meet the needs of my clients. I prioritize providing psychoeducation by way of an empathetic and non-judgmental, multi-cultural lens. I utilize various therapeutic techniques to support those who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, academic and learning challenges, stress management, adjustment issues, relationship challenges, parenting stressors, and new mom related issues. A few of the therapeutic modalities that I utilize throughout my counseling sessions include: CBT, DBT, Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based and Solutions Focused Therapies.

Moreover, my Christian faith and passion to counsel others who maintain a biblical worldview, is one of the options I welcome into the therapeutic relationship. When operating from a biblical foundation, alongside my clinical counseling training, I am able to provide my clientele support in navigating their own spiritual and mental health journeys. That being said, I ultimately seek to meet my clients where they are, regardless of their faith journey.

My desire is that my clients feel seen, safe and supported, and that they are ultimately able to thrive while feeling hopeful and ultimately empowered to achieve their goals!

We are working together, taking one step at a time to find peace, joy, and fulfillment in this adventure we call life.

My approach is client-centered, solution-focused therapy. You are the best expert in your life, and your experience is uniquely yours. My role is to help your child/teen identify factors in their life that bring feelings of stress, anxiety, and worry and support them as we find a healing path. When working with me, I will meet your child/teen where they are, and together, we will find coping skills that meet their strengths. Meeting your child/teen’s needs within the therapeutic setting will begin with allowing them to feel comfortable with me by incorporating age-appropriate therapies, such as art therapy, play therapy, and games. Within your child/teen healing path, you and I will collaboratively set attainable goals for your child/teen. When working with your child or teen in the therapeutic setting, my goal is for them to feel comfortable coming to therapy; I will do this by displaying that they are in a non-judgmental environment with a therapist who is empathetic to their unique needs and understanding.

In addition to my experience with children and teens in emergency response and crisis intervention, I have also worked with military spouses in a therapeutic setting as they transition from being spouses to caregivers for injured service members.

As a Christian Therapist, I welcome the incorporation of faith and spirituality in our therapy sessions; however, your preference in what is included in therapy is my priority. My focus is to provide you with professional and exceptional treatment to help you reach your therapeutic goals.

Sometimes life can throw experiences and unforeseen difficulties our way that we’re not prepared for. It is my goal to help you overcome these obstacles and start a new chapter. Therapy is not always easy, but making the decision to begin the process of bettering yourself is necessary to begin the growth that can lead to a better, more fulfilling life.

I have experience working with teens and adults in areas such as anxiety/panic disorders, depression, family issues, adjustment issues, emotional regulation/coping skills, ADHD, relationship issues, trauma, self-esteem/body image issues, eating disorders and grief. Most importantly, I will work with you to discover what you need out of your therapy and go from there. I take a holistic approach to therapy focusing on the mind-body connection and how it can be used to serve you better. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to work towards disproving negative core beliefs as well as Mindfulness to help you identify how these beliefs are impacting you physically as well as mentally. Depending on the client’s preferences, I will even include art, music, movement/dance, and writing into the therapeutic process to incorporate creativity with the healing process.

I have worked at a residential treatment center for people with eating disorders. I have worked with adults with developmental disabilities working towards bettering their lives and beginning to take control of their future in a positive way. I have experience with adult children of military families addressing how the military culture impacted them throughout their childhood.

I am here to provide you with a constructive partnership that can help you take the steps needed to strengthen yourself holistically and create for yourself a life with healthier relationships, happier emotions, and greater fulfillment.

With children and teen clients, I often help with peer issues, behavioral issues, self-injurious behaviors, and academic challenges. My treatment approach varies based on the individual I work with. When working with children or adolescents, I commonly use creative modalities such as play therapy, art therapy, and sensory activities. On the other hand, when working with adult clients I might blend talk therapy with mindfulness practices.
